As I grow my hair back out the “right way” by taking care of it I find it easier than I thought. You can read my post on my hairhere……
My hair is relaxed and I don’t plan on going natural at all…. I love the women with natural hair I just decided to continue to stay relaxed. It’s easier for me to maintain it:-)
By taking care of my hair I have started to:
Wash it every 7 days
Moisturize it
Condition it
Style it myself
At this very moment my hair is extremely dry and needs to be washed and so on……. I just wanted to show you a few pictures of what I’ve done the last couple of weeks to my hair. It turned out great and I’m hoping that I can accomplish the same thing or better this weekend!
Hey, I could not click on your photos of your hairstyles?
I have gone natural 3 times and ended up relaxed and at the end of the day, I feel more comfortable with it relaxed. It is all about what you want and how you feel! Go for it!
You are beautiful inside and out and there is more to you than "hair". What did your famous homegirl sing about? "I am not my hair….-IndiaArie!! LOL
I too feel more comfortable with it relaxed….. I tried the whole natural 3 for about 3 months… Does that count? Lol… However, to each its own…. I am not my hair:-)
So, you couldn't see any of my pictures on this post?
I am stopping by from Saturday Morning Coffee. So I cannot relate to you exactly since I don't have the exact same hair texture. I do however have naturally curly hair that has a mind of it's own sometimes. I wish I could see your pictures 🙁 I am a new follower!
Man, you have me missing my permed days bad! It was so much easier lol. I went natural in 2007 and I'd be lying if I didn't say I think about perming it at least once a week lmbo. Cute pics Martina!
Your hair is so long! I went natural about two years ago, and it was the only thing that has helped my hair to grow. My sister has to keep a relaxer, as it is easier for her. Gorgeous hair girl!
I will be natural for one year in April and I think I may be going back to a relaxer soon. I can honestly say I've given it my best effort and plenty of time but it's truly a lot more work than I thought it would be and very time consuming. It has helped me to realize that I just need to take better care of my hair (like you said), whether it's natural or not!!!
By the way, your hair is absolutely gorgeous(at all lengths)!
I actually commend you for doing it for a year because I "heard" that the transition is very hard. I really wanted to go natural but I gave up after 3 months. I don't think relaxers are bad, I think its just how you manage it especially with the chemicals and all.
