Keep it up, you’re good at it!

I was a blogger………Blogging became my peace and it was the ONE thing that I enjoyed that none of my family or friends knew that I did. At the time it was a way for me to meet other young mom’s that I could relate too.

6 years ago my husband wrote on my Facebook wall encouraging me to “push through” with my blog. I continued with my blog for 2 years totaling 4 years of blogging and I got lost in the madness and stopped cold turkey. Life happened……. I started a part-time job, a small business and to be honest I just wasn’t happy about my life anymore. Things were low-key spinning out of control. I had a TON of saved drafts where I attempted to post but would never post anything and I honestly don’t know why. As the years went on through every attempted post , I avoided my passion and allowed my own insecurities to stand in the way of the one thing that brought me joy.

Fast forward…

I contemplated blogging again and would always brush it off. Like maybe it was a thing of the past and it was just time to move on but I realized when you’re passionate about something and you’re purposed for something, you can’t escape it no matter how hard you try. Even though I did try to run from what was tugging on me, I began to get sign after sign that this was something I was suppose to do but the biggest sign of them all or should I say the thing that confirmed it for me was this memory that popped up on my Facebook in December 2017.

I saw this and I was immediately reminded to start that thing that I stopped and that’s exactly what I did. I started working on my blog again. I’ve actually had this site up for weeks but had a small case of writer’s block. I was so excited and nervous that I didn’t know where to start…lol… 2018 is definitely my year of new beginnings and I’m excited about continuing what I started years ago.

For those of you who stopped doing what you’re passionate about. Know that it’s never to late to start again!

P.S. I’ve merged all of my post from blogger over to my domain so feel free to take a look back at my older post from a few year’s ago!

Priscilla the Pink Pig

I can’t believe I’m actually writing a blog right now…. It’s been soooooooo long and I’ve missed blogging and have missed reading you all’s blog as well. So, much has gone on and I have to catch you up on birthday parties, summer fun, D.I.Y activities, and so on. However, I’ll just start with our visit with Priscilla the Pink Pig.
Here in Atlanta it is a tradition to visit the “Pink Pig” at Lenox mall but on November 16, 2013 that would be me and my family’s first time going and it was an amazing experience. I loved the unique atmosphere and most of all, creating a family tradition for me, my mom, and my girls.
My mom called and said I want to take you and the girls to see the pink pig and we went to the special event “breakfast” they have each year. For the full Priscilla experience that included breakfast it was $16.99 for the adults and I believe it was $12.99 for the girls.
Breakfast started at 8:30 am so when we arrived there were 2 white tents one small and the other large. In the small tent that’s where the face painting, breakfast, and Priscilla were. We were seated and served breakfast. We had pink pancakes, turkey sausage links, cheese eggs, gummy piglets, yogurt parfait, and apple juice capri suns, and of course hot chocolate because it was so cold:) The breakfast wasn’t that good but I didn’t complain because I was happy to be there!
We all were presented with a pink bag with coupons and a book of the history of the pig. After Breakfast we took pictures with Priscilla and the girls got there faces painted. Next, we go to the larger tent and that’s where the souvenir shop and the pink pig ride was held. We rode the pig and while you’re riding the pink pig she gives you a history of her life story. When it was all over me and mom bought tshirts and ornaments and the girls each got a pig.
If you’re ever visiting Atlanta in Nov or Dec please go stop by and visit Priscilla. You will definitely enjoy it!!

Thanks for reading & be on the look out for what’s been going on with me… I have a ton of updates:)

My 1st Influenster Voxbox!!!!!!

Hey Yall!!!!! I’ve missed you guys…. Life has been really busy lately and still is…. I wanted to do a quick post on my first Influenster Voxbox…
I was definitely excited to have received one and if you would like an invitation to Influenster put your email address in the comment section below. I can choose up to 5 pretty ladies to invite….
Here’s what I received:
  • Optic White Oral Care RegimenI received the toothbrush, mouth wash, and tooth paste. It’s a great product but the only thing I didn’t like was the mouthwash because it’s not your ordinary mouthwash. Its a whitening system so it isn’t very tasteful. Very weird, I know but everything else was great.
  • Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer– Now this product is Awesome!!!! I love it and so does my husband…. He uses it more than me. It is definitely different because your spraying it on but it feels good and moisturizes your skin just like any other lotion.
  • BelVita Breakfast Biscuit– These were pretty good! If you’ve eaten a nutrigrain bar and a graham cracker, it taste like the two of them together.
  • Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes- The only good thing I can say about this is that they feel good on my skin. Other than that they smell horrible…. When I used these towelettes I had to wash my face with soap to get the smell off because it was making me sick to the stomach. Maybe it was the “witch hazel” but it gets the job done.
  • Nectresse Natural Sweetener–  I have not tried this as of yet due to the fact that we don’t make coffee at home but as soon as I get a chance to use it with something else, I will come back and do a review on it.

Our Stomach Bug & Planning Madison’s 5th Birthday Party

Mallorie has had this little stomach bug and has given it to the rest of us except my husband. Let me just say it has definitely gotten the best of me because I actually puked Saturday night and I’ve never puked before. Even while being pregnant with both of my girls. The only thing close to puking that I’ve had was really bad nausea. However, we are all slowly getting better and trying to stay hydrated and sanitized….
I am in the process of planning my daughter’s 5th Birthday party. I am totally excited and I only have 2 1/2 weeks to make this party as fabulous as possible and if you don’t believe I can do it, I will let the actual party pictures speak for it self….
At first Madi wanted a Hello Kitty Sleepover party and my mom was going to get the room/suite (which was her gift to Madi) and I was going to get a few things to fix up the room and invite a few of her friends over and keep it simple and sweet but now miss thang decided to change it at the last minute and she wants a “Barbie” party. I couldn’t even get mad because this creative mama saw SO much I could do and wanted to do because I grew up loving everything about Barbie. Below you will see a few of the things I will do via pinterest and stuff I have found on the web. I know I haven’t showed any of my crafts other than my wreaths but I do want to get in the habit of getting better at that. So, here are some things I would like to do for her party. If you have any more suggestions or ideas feel free to let me know of them:)

Review: Firmoo Glasses

I was contacted by firmoo to do a review on their glasses.
I received the glasses (for free) in about a week and couldn’t wait to try them.
With Firmoo you are able to choose between non-prescription & prescription glasses.
I chose non-prescription glasses that were funky and cute.
The glasses are very sturdy and comfortable.
To be honest I was kind of skeptical about them but they are actually good glasses
They came with an awesome case, a cloth to clean your glasses with, and a firmoo bag for your glasses.
They feel and look expensive and I honestly think they look better on my husband and so he wears them ALL the time now! Lol
If you are interested in getting some glasses from firmoo you definitely should.
You can get a free pair of glasses right now and all you have to pay for is shipping.
They also have a place where you can upload a picture of yourself to see how you look in different styles.

Family night at the Circus:-)

First let me start off by saying that I’ve missed you ladies SO much! Reading & Commenting on your lovely blogs have definitely been missed over here in these parts but I’m back…. Sooooo much has been going on such as sick babies, car broke down, and so much more that I dare won’t get into… However, we did go to the Circus last Friday on March 1st and it was SOOOO much fun…. The best time we’ve had as a family in a long time. It was the kids first time and even me and my husband’s (I think we were more excited than the girls).

We went to Ringling Brother’s Circus and the theme this year was “Dragons” and when we entered the building we saw all the concessions and so on and it was all so wonderful…. Madison was Thrilled to be there. We initially decided not to get Mallorie our 1 year old a light up circus toy but after she saw her sister’s she started crying and was really trying to take it so we had to get her one to keep peace. And I’m glad we did. She still walks around here pushing the button playing with it and even her sisters. Lol… All together both toys cost $42.00… Whew… Yes, it was a lot but it was their first time going and we really wanted them to have what ever they wanted. So, with that being said… We also got cotton candy ($10) which came with a choice of two different hats and we got the pink hair hat. Popcorn ($8) and Something to drink ($6)…. By the way we had REALLY good seats…. Which made it even better:)

Below you will find pictures of our evening….. It was absolutely perfect until my husband decided to get on Facebook to respond to someone status he commenting on earlier that day. Lol…. After he got done with that 30 mins later  everything was back to normal.

The concessions…. First thing we saw              We’re HERE!!!!

Daddy and his girls when we arrived                She was SO happy to have this….

She’s a Happy Camper…                                This mama has circus fever…. lol

Before the show…                                            Lions & Tigers… Hubby Fav Part

Women are in those balls! Cool right?               I loved the Elephants…

One of the clowns & my baby during
intermission…. She was so happy!                   Her famous duck lips and peace sign pose!

                                                                      Somebody was getting sleepy….

She’s Out!!!!                                                  Finally the “Dragon” made his apperance

Deception

I tend to write about shows that I love like and this time I am discussing my new Monday night addiction…

DECEPTION

Tonight I will be discussing a line Julian gave….

whoever this guy is break his heart don’t break mine….-Julian

If you are watching this show you know that Julian and Joanna use to date and he was her first love…. He used her and didn’t take her serious and they may have been young but she loved him as most of us young women do when we are young. However, now that she and her long time detective buddy are dating he wants to get serious with her AND he wants her to leave him. When he made this statement it made me so upset. lol…

Sad part is I think she is considering it and my question is Why do we as women go back? Why do we find the man of our dreams and leave him for the guy who made us hurt before? Why do the men ALWAYS come back after you’ve moved on and realized you could do better? It’s crazy…. There is always room for error and 2nd chances but why does it always happen that way.

As soon as you get a good guy, or get engaged, or they just find out you have a new love interest they want to come running back…. It happened to me but I’m glad I stayed with my main man because I’m pretty sure nothing changed with the other guy which was way over 7 years ago:)

I really think her and the other detective make a a great couple even though Julian is not to bad his self  and I believe she should give her self a chance at love and leave the past in the past especially since they still don’t know who the killer is yet.

P.S. I really wanted to punch a whole in the tv when that reporter came in the bakery and blew her cover….

That’s just my take on Monday’s episode and I hope you’re having a Terrific Tuesday:)

My Selfishly Greedy Husband

Today me and my husband went to Applebee’s after church with some friends of ours and we got the 2 for $20 and with that you get an appetizer to “SHARE”….
Well, we didn’t eat all of our food and of course we brought it home in to go boxes…. Time has gone by and I realized I want some of “our” applebees and I come downstairs to get some leftovers.
To my surprise even though it really wasn’t a surprise because this happens all the time it was gone. The rest of our boneless wings and mozzarella sticks were all gone.

Our Conversation

Me: Did you eat all of it or did you save me some?
Hubbs: I ate all of it, it was only 2 of each left
Me: You know you are wrong right? I would’ve never done that to you. You are just selfish! LOL
Hubbs: But you have pasta leftover so I figured you would just eat that
Me: But you ate all of your food plus all of the appetizers
Hubbs: ……………………………………………….
Those dots = Silence! HA! Convo was over after that….
We didn’t really argue about it because this is a NORMAL conversation that happens at least twice a week. I mean this dude will eat up everything without thinking about the next person around him. I call him my personal garbage disposal because I can always depend on him to eat what I don’t eat or what he “think” I won’t eat. Most times I hide my food or I have to literally threaten him so he won’t eat my stuff!
I’m like come on dude can I get my grub on or get excited about my leftovers without worrying if you ate it or not??? lol…. Most of my married girlfriends go through this and we always have our funny convos about it because we all deal with the “selfishly greedy husband”….. This dude even ate my Valentine’s day chocolate “HE” got me and blamed it on our 1 year old daughter….lol….. I got it bad over here ladies!!!
Have you had these convos with your hubby? or had to come to the frig to see your food missing?

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I love the fact that we can celebrate an actual day to show love to the people around us…. I know we do it year round but just having a day that is designated for love is pretty cool. Anywhoo, my babies woke up this morning to these cuties sitting in their dollhouse…..

Yesterday I went to our local grocery store (Kroger) to get a few items and let me just say I absolutely love kroger. They always have the best deals they had all of the Valentine’s Day items 50% off.
I decided to get the girls something to surprise them and each bear was $1.99 and the ring pop’s were .50 cents. They were happy and I figured the rest of the morning would go great but then here comes Madison giving me “mommy guilt” again.
As I was getting her ready for school I told her I wouldn’t be coming to her Valentine’s Day party at school and truth be told the reason I wasn’t going was because I was tired. I go to everything else and this was one party I was willing to pass on. Well, she started crying and said that I am suppose to come and she really wants me there and so on. I proceeded to explain why I wasn’t going and she wasn’t hearing it. Daddy ended up taking her to school and the mommy guilt sat in.
My mind started playing games with me so I called him to “whine” about my guilt and he really encouraged me and told me not to stress about it. He said she is 4 years old and very fortunate to have a mother like you  and that he would stop by for me. I mean my husband is the best right? lol… About 30 mins later he calls back and said babe get some rest and I’ll pick you up at 11:30 because the party starts a little later than expected so  Me and Mallorie ended up surprising her and one little girl said I wish you were my mommy and I felt so bad for her. I even got a cupcake:-)
So, around 5 pm I go get in the car to pick up the hubby and this is what was sitting in the car….

We decided to wait to give gifts and go out on Sunday because we always wait until a few days after V-Day to do something because we don’t like being around all the many people who will be out for Valentine’s but he wanted to surprise me with a small gift before then and I was very surprised.

Do yall see the Strawberries and Whipped Cream????
It’s Going DOWN!!!! Lol
